Grocery store tomatoes are bred to survive a truck. Ours only have to survive the drive to your house, so we let them ripen on the vine.
The Green Bounty Box is a vegetable box we deliver across the Monterey Bay and Greater Sacramento areas every 2 weeks. Everything in it comes from small California farms, most of it picked a day or two before it lands on your porch. You'll get plenty you already know what to do with, plus a couple of things you don't. Someone opens their first tomatillo every single week.

WHAT'S INSIDE
Between 8 and 20 kinds of vegetables and herbs, depending on the size you pick and what's actually good that week.
What turns up regularly:
Tomatoes of every description — heirloom, early girl, cherry. Summer squash: zucchini, crookneck, golden rod. Peppers: sweet, spicy, bells & more. Leafy green: rainbow chard, kale, spinach, romaine & other leaf lettuces. Cruciferous veggies: broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts. Root veggies: carrots, potatoes, . celery, fennel. Flavor: onions, garlic, in-season herbs.

Regular Green Bounty Box (18 varieties): shishito peppers, fresh mint, rainbow chard, sweet peppers, green beans, zucchini, romaine lettuce, okra, early girl tomatoes, red onions, heirloom tomatoes, afghan chives, cherry tomatoes, chef's herb medley, purple bell peppers, early california garlic, tomatillos, jalapeños.
Mini Green Bounty Box (13 varieties): rainbow chard, early girl tomatoes, red onions, sweet peppers, green beans, zucchini, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomatoes, jalapeños, cherry tomatoes, chef's herb medley, purple bell peppers, early california garlic.
What we'd cook this week: the tomatillos, jalapeños, garlic and half an onion go under the broiler until they blister, then into a blender for salsa verde. Shishitos get blistered in a dry pan with salt, and roughly one in ten will be aggressively spicy. That's just how shishitos are. Everything else is a very good week for a tomato salad.
Contents change every delivery with the harvest. Please note we do our best to get those exact contents, however due to weather, supply chain issues, labor shortages & other small farm/business issues, we may need to substitute some items should they become unavailable. We appreciate your understanding.
SIZES
Mini Green Bounty Box | $34.98. Around 6lbs, 10-14 varieties. Sized for one or two people, or a week when you're not cooking much.
Regular Green Bounty Box | $74.98. Around 12lbs, 14-18 varieties. This is the one for families, for people who batch cook on Sundays and for anyone who owns a canning pot.
Either size works as an every two weeks subscription or a one-time order.

Just vegetables and herbs in here. No nuts, dairy, gluten, or animal products.
If there's something you're allergic to or just genuinely don't want to see again, put it in your Order Notes at checkout and we'll work around it. Not every substitution is possible in a given week, but we try. Questions about a specific ingredient before you order? Get in touch.
WHERE IT COMES FROM
We buy from a rotating group of small family farms around California's Central Coast and Sacramento Valley. Most are under 50 acres. They grow sustainably and organically, and they harvest to order instead of to a warehouse schedule, which is the whole reason the food tastes like it does.
Goodful is minority- and woman-owned.
We deliver to: the Monterey Bay area and the Greater Sacramento metropolitan area.
