Local Organic Apricots
Fresh Apricots | fleeting, golden, worth every bite
If you've only ever had a grocery store apricot — mealy, pale, bland — we need to talk. A truly ripe, just-picked apricot is one of summer's great arguments for eating with the seasons. Soft, fragrant, bursting with a flavor that's equal parts sweet and tart, they're the kind of fruit that makes you stop whatever you're doing and just... eat the apricot. And then eat three more.
Here's the thing about apricots: they don't wait around. Our season here in northern California is generally a mere six weeks, and our quantities are limited — so when they're gone, they're gone until next year. This is not a drill.
Beyond being genuinely delicious, apricots are quietly one of the most nutritious fruits of summer. According to Healthline, just two fresh apricots provide vitamins A, C, and E, 1.5 grams of fiber, and 1 whole gram of protein — all for only 34 calories. They're particularly high in soluble fiber, which is important for maintaining healthy blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and they feed your beneficial gut bacteria to boot. Anyhow I could go on, but you get the point - essentially eating a bowl of these beauties is practically a wellness routine.
This season we're expecting the Blenheim, Katy & Patterson varieties of apricot. They're generally harvested at different times, so please expect to receive a variety of the available varietals.

Eating straight over the sink, summer stone fruit cravings, galettes you'll brag about, jam that makes people ask for your recipe, people who claim they "don't really like fruit" (they like apricots), and making the most of the approximately six weeks per year that life is perfect.
