A pioneer in the Craft Beer movement, North Coast Brewing Company opened in 1988 as a local brewpub in the historic town of Fort Bragg, located on California’s Mendocino Coast.

Under the leadership of President & Co-Founder Mark Ruedrich, the brewery has developed a strong reputation for quality having won more than 110 awards in national and international competitions.

In addition to Red Seal Ale, Old Rasputin Russian Imperial Stout, Scrimshaw Pilsner, and other fine North Coast brands, the brewery has resurrected the old Acme label with a heritage dating back to the San Francisco of the 1860s.

These exceptional beers are available in 48 states now and also are exported to Europe and the Pacific Rim.

North Coast Brewing Company is also a leader in philanthropy and sustainability. In addition to being a Certified B Corp and Benefit Corporation, the brewery is proud to be TRUE Platinum Zero Waste Certified, offer 14 Non-GMO Project Verified beers, and spearhead an innovative carbon farming project to reverse its carbon footprint and advance the science of carbon sequestration in agriculture.

"With its high quality product, philanthropy in music, and love for their local community, the B Corporation that is North Coast Brewing displays the some of the best qualities of being Goodful." - Danielle, Goodful Founder

HOW WE CHOOSE OUR PARTNERS

One of the first reasons I started Goodful was to enable us all to eat truly healthy food made in a way that wasn’t harmful to the Earth or animals… Turned out grocery shopping in that fashion wasn’t too hard but eating out was a different thing entirely!

Not only could I not get an answer on sustainable or free range, but sometimes I couldn’t even get an accurate description of the produce. Sheesh, I thought, this has got to be better and I’m going to make it so.

While building the company these last couple years, I have sought out food producers who share my concern for the way we eat . And right here, right now, I am honored and grateful to be able to share each of them, their stories, and their products with you!
